Questions about academic writing

What subjects do you cover?

Our writers cover the humanities, social sciences, business and management, law, nursing and health, education, and most undergraduate-level science and engineering subjects.

If a brief falls outside what we can cover properly, we say so before you pay rather than assigning it to someone who will guess.

Which citation styles can you write in?

APA, MLA, Harvard, Chicago, Vancouver, OSCOLA and IEEE are routine. If your department publishes its own style guide, send it and we will follow that instead.

Will the paper pass a plagiarism checker?

Every paper is written from a blank page and then run through originality software before delivery. The report comes to you with the paper, so you can see the result rather than take our word for it.

Nothing we write is resold, reused or added to a database.

Can I speak to the writer?

Yes. Messages go through your client portal so there is a record of what was agreed, and the writer replies directly.

What if the paper is not what I asked for?

Ask for a revision. We rework it against the original brief at no extra cost, as many times as it takes to meet it. If the brief itself changed, we will tell you what that means for the price and the deadline before starting.

Course Handling

Instead of ordering one assignment at a time, you hand us a module or a semester. We track what is due, prepare the material, draft each piece to its own brief and keep you ahead of every date in the syllabus.

Onepoint of contact
Per modulepricing, not per page

What this covers

What is included

  • A deadline calendar built from your syllabus
  • Lecture notes compiled and summarised each week
  • Weekly assignments, discussion posts and reflections drafted
  • Reading summaries for set texts
  • Midterm and final paper handled as part of the module
  • A weekly summary of what is done and what is next

What we need from you

  • The syllabus or module handbook
  • Access to the reading list and any lecture slides
  • The assessment schedule and weightings
  • Your tutor's marking preferences, if you know them
  • A short call at the start so we understand the module

What is not included

  • Sitting an examination in your place
  • Logging into your university account on your behalf
  • Anything your institution's academic integrity policy prohibits
  • Group work where other students are assessed on our output

How it runs

01 Syllabus review

You send the handbook. We map every deliverable and date onto a calendar.

02 Scope and quote

We agree what is in and out, and price the module rather than the page.

03 Weekly rhythm

Material arrives on a schedule, ahead of each due date, with a summary.

04 Review points

Checkpoints at the midterm and before the final so nothing drifts.

Questions about course handling

What is course handling?

Course handling is a single arrangement that covers a whole module rather than one assignment. We take the syllabus, build a calendar from it, and work through the module with you: compiling lecture notes, summarising set reading, drafting the weekly assignments and preparing the major papers, each to its own brief.

The point is the admin as much as the writing. Most students who fall behind do not fail because one essay was hard, they fail because four modules had overlapping deadlines and nobody was tracking them. Course handling is the tracking plus the drafting, under one point of contact.

How many courses can you handle at once?

Between one and five concurrent modules per student is where the service works properly. We have run five, and that is the ceiling we hold ourselves to.

Beyond five the calendar stops being realistic and quality drops, so we will tell you to pick which modules matter most rather than take the order and disappoint you.

What kinds of courses can you handle?

Humanities and social sciences: history, sociology, psychology, politics, philosophy, literature, media and communication.

Business and professional: management, marketing, finance, accounting, human resources, project management, business law.

Health and education: nursing theory, public health, early years education, teaching practice portfolios.

Technical, within limits: introductory statistics, research methods, information systems and most first and second-year computing modules.

What we do not take on: laboratory sciences that depend on practical sessions, clinical placements, studio-based art and design, and any module assessed mainly by invigilated examination.

How do you keep track of everything?

Every module gets a calendar built from your syllabus in week one, with each deliverable, its weighting and its due date. You get a weekly summary showing what was delivered, what is in progress and what is coming in the next fourteen days.

Nothing is delivered on the due date itself. The internal target is always at least forty-eight hours earlier, so there is room for a revision.

How is it priced?

By module, based on the number of assessments, their total length and the length of the term, rather than per page. That usually works out cheaper than ordering the same pieces one by one.

You get the full quote after the syllabus review and before any work starts.

Can I start mid-semester?

Yes, and it is common. We take the syllabus from where you are, note what has already been submitted, and build the calendar from the next deadline forward.

Two passeslanguage, then structure

What this covers

Proofreading covers

  • Spelling, grammar and punctuation
  • Consistency in tense, voice and spelling convention
  • Citation and reference formatting
  • Heading levels, numbering and captions
  • Table and figure labelling
  • Final read for typos and spacing

Editing adds

  • Sentence and paragraph restructuring
  • Signposting so the argument is easy to follow
  • Cutting repetition and filler
  • Strengthening topic sentences and transitions
  • Flagging unsupported claims and missing citations
  • A short summary of what we changed and why

What we need from you

  • The document in Word, or Google Docs with comment access
  • Your required style guide and citation style
  • The brief or rubric, so we can check you answered it
  • Your word limit, if you are over it
  • Whether you want proofreading, editing, or both

How it runs

01 Assessment

We read the piece and tell you honestly whether it needs proofreading or editing.

02 First pass

Language: grammar, clarity, consistency, citation formatting.

03 Second pass

Structure: order, signposting, repetition, argument flow.

04 Return

You get a Track Changes copy, a clean copy and a note on what changed.

Questions about proofreading and editing

What is the difference between proofreading and editing?

Proofreading is the final check: spelling, grammar, punctuation, consistency and formatting. It does not change what you said, only how correctly it is written.

Editing goes further. It reorders paragraphs, rewrites sentences that do not land, cuts repetition and strengthens the argument's signposting. If your ideas are sound but the piece reads like a first draft, you want editing.

Will you change my voice?

No. The point of editing is to make your writing sound more like you on a good day, not like a different person. Where a rewrite would change your meaning, we leave a comment and ask rather than guess.

Do you work in Track Changes?

Always. You get a tracked copy showing every edit, a clean copy, and a short note explaining the bigger structural changes. You can accept or reject anything.

English is my second language. Can you help?

This is a large part of the work. We correct article use, prepositions, tense agreement and the phrasing that reads as translated, while keeping your argument intact. We do not flatten your writing into generic English.

How fast can you turn work around?

Twelve hours for proofreading on a short piece, twenty-four to forty-eight hours for editing on a full paper. A dissertation chapter needs longer, and we will tell you how long before you commit.

  • A portfolio structure, with case study write-ups
  • Keyword alignment with the job descriptions you send

  • Anything you are proud of that is not on the page yet
  • Your LinkedIn URL, if you have one

Who this is for

  • Students applying for a first graduate role

  • Freelancers building a portfolio site or PDF

How it runs

01 Intake

You send the current version and the roles you are aiming at.

02 Draft

We rewrite around the target role, not around a template.

03 Review

You mark what is wrong or missing, we revise twice.

04 Handover

Final files in Word, PDF and plain text, plus the LinkedIn copy ready to paste.

Questions about portfolio, resume, linkedin

Will the resume pass an applicant tracking system?

We format for parsers: a single column, standard section headings, real text rather than text inside images, and no tables or graphics where the content matters. We also align your wording with the vocabulary in the job adverts you send, which is what most keyword filters actually look at.

Do you write cover letters?

Yes, as a template with the role-specific paragraph marked out, so you can adapt it per application rather than sending the same letter everywhere.

Can you optimise my LinkedIn profile for search?

We write the headline, About section and experience entries around the terms recruiters in your field actually search, and tell you which skills to list and in what order. We do not run the account or post on your behalf.

What if I have very little experience?

Most students do, and it is not the problem it feels like. Coursework, projects, part-time work and volunteering all demonstrate something an employer wants. The work is framing them properly, which is exactly what this service does.

What this covers

Document types

  • User manuals and quick-start guides
  • Product and functional specifications
  • Standard operating procedures
  • API and developer documentation
  • Scientific and laboratory reports
  • White papers and technical case studies

What we need from you

  • Existing drafts, specs or engineering notes
  • Access to the product, or a recorded walkthrough
  • A subject matter expert we can send questions to
  • Your style guide and terminology list
  • Screenshots and diagrams, or permission to produce them

How we work

  • Terminology list agreed before drafting
  • One structure proposed and signed off before the full draft
  • Numbered sections so review comments are easy to place
  • Screenshots captioned and cross-referenced
  • Editable source files handed over, not just a PDF

How it runs

01 Scoping

We read what exists and agree the audience, scope and terminology.

02 Outline

A structure goes to you for sign-off before anything long is written.

03 Draft

Written in sections, so you can review as it goes rather than all at once.

04 Review and handover

Two review rounds, then final files in editable source format.

Questions about technical writing

Do you work from existing material or from scratch?

Either. Most jobs start from something: engineering notes, an old manual, a spec that was never finished. If nothing exists we work from a product walkthrough and interviews with whoever knows the system.

Can you follow our style guide?

Yes, and we would rather you had one. Send it with any terminology list and we will follow it exactly. If you do not have a style guide, we will propose a short one and confirm it with you before drafting.

Do you handle diagrams and screenshots?

We produce annotated screenshots and simple process diagrams. For complex engineering drawings we work alongside your own illustrator or draughtsman rather than pretending to replace them.

Will you sign an NDA?

Yes. Send yours, or we will provide one. Technical work frequently involves unreleased products and we treat it that way by default.

What this covers

What is included

  • A diagnostic session to find the actual gaps
  • Concept explanations built around your syllabus
  • Practice questions in your exam's format
  • Worked solutions, not just answers
  • Timing and question-order strategy
  • A revision schedule for the weeks before

What we need from you

  • The syllabus or exam specification
  • Past papers or sample questions, if your course provides them
  • Your most recent marked work, so we can see where marks are lost
  • The exam date and format
  • An honest account of which topics you are avoiding

What this service is not

  • We do not sit examinations for students
  • We do not log into proctored assessments
  • We do not supply live answers during a timed test
  • Nothing here is designed to defeat invigilation

How it runs

01 Diagnostic

One session to find where marks are actually being lost.

02 Plan

A revision schedule mapped against the exam date and the specification.

03 Sessions

Concepts explained, then practice under timed conditions.

04 Final week

A last pass on weak topics and a plan for the day itself.

Questions about quiz and exam preparation

What does this service actually include?

Teaching and preparation. A tutor works through the concepts your exam covers, builds practice questions in the same format as the real paper, marks your attempts and shows you where the marks went.

It is the same work a good departmental revision class would do, except timed around your schedule and built from your own weak spots rather than the average student's.

Is this the same as taking my exam for me?

No, and we will not do that. We prepare you to sit it yourself.

Every university treats impersonation in an assessment as serious misconduct, and the penalty falls on the student, not on us. We would rather tell you that plainly than take an order that puts your degree at risk.

How do sessions work?

Online, one to one or in a small group, in sixty or ninety minute blocks. Sessions are scheduled around your timetable and you keep the same tutor across a series so nobody starts from scratch each week.

Which subjects do you prepare students for?

Business and management, economics, accounting, statistics and research methods, psychology, law, nursing theory, and most first and second-year computing and mathematics modules.

How far ahead should I book?

Three to four weeks before the exam is the point where preparation still changes the outcome meaningfully. We take bookings closer than that, but at a week out the honest plan is triage rather than full coverage.

  • Rescheduling free with twenty-four hours' notice
  • Blocks of five or ten sessions, or one at a time

How it runs

01 Match

You tell us the module and the goal, we match a tutor who has taught it.

02 First session

Establish where you actually are, not where the syllabus assumes you are.

03 Series

Weekly or twice weekly, with material prepared in advance.

04 Review

Every fourth session we check progress against the goal and adjust.

Questions about personal tutors

How are sessions delivered?

Online by video, with a shared whiteboard for working through problems. Sessions can be recorded on request so you can rewatch the explanation rather than rely on your notes.

Can I keep the same tutor?

Yes, and we strongly recommend it. A tutor who already knows where you struggle is worth far more than a new one each week. If the match is wrong, tell us after the first session and we will change it at no cost.

What subjects and levels do you cover?

Business, economics, accounting and finance; statistics and research methods; psychology and sociology; law; nursing theory; English and academic writing; and mathematics and computing to second-year undergraduate level.

Levels run from sixth form through to Master's coursework.

How do I book?

Start an order, tell us the module and the goal, and we will come back with a tutor and two or three available slots. You can book one session at a time or a block of five or ten.

What if I need to cancel?

Free rescheduling with twenty-four hours' notice. Inside twenty-four hours the session is charged, because the tutor has already prepared for it.

Questions about blog and article writing

Do you do the keyword research?

We can, or we will work from the list you already have. If you give us a list, we will tell you honestly which terms we think are not worth targeting and why, rather than writing eight posts that cannot rank.

How do you handle our brand voice?

Send your style guide and three pieces you think sound right. We write one piece, you mark what is off, and we calibrate from there. After the second piece the voice is usually settled.

Do you supply images?

We supply image suggestions and alt text with each post, and will source correctly licensed stock on request. We do not produce custom illustration or photography.

What volume can you handle each month?

Four to twenty posts a month for a single client is the comfortable range. Above that we would want to agree a longer lead time rather than cut the research short.

Will the content be flagged as AI written?

Our writers are people, and we run an AI detection check before delivery the same way we run the originality check. Both reports come to you with the piece.
